Architectural Advisor

After completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Carleton University in Ottawa, Jonathan returned to his hometown, Edmonton, to join Rockliff Pierzchajlo Kroman Architects as a principal in 1999. Since this time he has designed and managed a wide variety of projects in Edmonton and around Alberta. He believes strongly that the best results are gained through an inclusive and collaborative design process that involves the sharing of ideas by all stakeholders.

Jonathan is passionate about the design of friendly and resident-focused housing. He is currently a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Task Force on Age Friendly Housing, and is involved in a study about dementia design with the University of Alberta. He has been the architect for numerous seniors’ and affordable housing projects, including the recently completed Lloydminster Long-Term Care and Sakaw Terrace seniors’ apartment building.

Beyond the arena of multifamily housing, he has designed the recent expansion of Edmonton’s iconic Muttart Conservatory, multiple private residences, and two City of Edmonton fire stations — all examples of dynamic and vibrant additions to our provincial and municipal architectural landscape.
