Gary GORDON

Gary is an accomplished housing professional with over 40 years of experience in provincial and municipal government and private practice in Alberta. His senior management experience includes numerous positions in housing with the Government of Alberta and time as Director of Housing for the City of Edmonton. His academic background includes degrees in economics and urban planning from the Universities of Winnipeg and Manitoba.

Gary founded Gordon & Associates (2003), a private consultancy specializing in housing market analysis and needs assessment, business case preparation, socio-economic analysis, and housing plan and strategy development. His clients include numerous housing management bodies and municipalities, provincial and federal government departments, nonprofit housing agencies, housing developers and builders, and universities. 

Gary also volunteers for a number of groups. He has served for six years as a board director for the Greater Edmonton Foundation and has supported Treaty 6 and Treaty 8 organizations with their efforts to establish a new nonprofit housing agency in Edmonton.
